Getting to know them

I have been recently been spending time with Bel's newborns.
Like all infants they have yet to open eyes, ears.
However, they respond extremely well with the sense of touch.
They would sleep and be disturbed with hippcups and still be soundly asleep.
The hardly can keep still for more than 5 mins.
Wriggling over, undernealth, where they sense warmth, care and love.
Huddling on top, against each other.
They sometimes would wriggle so hard that they fall off their nest only to get your attention.
They can sense each other even when their eyes are closed.
They do compete with each other for attention and vive for as being the one carried on the palm of my hand.
The responses get more urgent when I drop one for the other.
Sometimes they do make a fuss who gets what and how much by getting your attention either by calling out, rolling restlessly.
So, firmness and order is needed by just a little reminder to them.
They sense my displeasure when they become rowdy and restless.
They would quieten down immediately.
I think they need someone who they can look up to.
As a guide and safe place.
Therefore, our connection with them can start before even they open their eyes and ears.
